Researchers at the University of Minnesota School of Medicine have found that olive oil in the Mediterranean diet improves the lifespan of humans and reduce aging-related diseases.

The Mediterranean diet contains a compound called resveratrol, which activates a certain pathway that extends lifespan and prevents diseases related to aging.
